Ambubachi Mela 2012 preparations are in full swing. Come June 22 and Ambubachi Mela 2012 will be the spotlight for tourists and devotees alike. Ambubachi Mela, also known as Ambubasi festival, is one of the holiest festivals of the Hindus and observed every year at the Kamakhya temple located in Assam. Many sanyasis and pandas from all over the country gather during this festival which is believed to be closely related with tantric cult.

The Ambubchi Mela 2012 will start on June 22 and continue till June 26. During this period, huge numbers of devotees from all parts of the country will turn up to celebrate and seek blessings. This year the number is expected to climb considerably and hence, the festival authorities are taking extra precautions to make sure every devotee that comes to take part in the festival spend their days peacefully and calmly. Preparations to provide round the clock services such as food, shelter and water are under full swing. Also, stringent preemptive measures are being taken to thwart any untoward incidents that may happen during the Ambubachi Mela 2012.
