As Sikkim gets ready for the annual Sikkim Winter Carnival the streets of Gangtok get a makeover. Mural paintings depicting the religious significance of Buddhism, artsy floral designs et al are being painted on the city walls. These paintings depict the culture and lifestyle of Sikkim and the streets look refreshing and lively. The Sikkim Winter Carnival 2014 starts on Dec 14 and will continue till Dec 19.
