London Olympics 2012 North East Dream Team

If you are not excited about the London Olympics 2012, you better be. A region separated from the mainland in a lot so many ways…a population of just about 39Million out of the 1.2Billion…and…10 players out of the 81 at the London Olympics. Do the maths. 12.34% of the Indian team at the London Olympics 2012 is from North East India. Now that’s how we contribute as a region, a small and remote region often neglected at times for one reason or another, to the bigger picture of mainland Indian sports. A small region but with a greater and a bigger dream making the larger Olympic dream of the nation brighter and stronger. This is indeed a great and proud moment for us all from the northeast. Whatever maybe the result – medal or no medal, we have already won the game with this. Everything else from here is the icing on the cake. May God be with you all. We salute you from our hearts!
