The Shillong Chamber Choir has made another bench mark in the country. Apparently, Neil Nongkynreh, Founder/Director of the Shillong Chamber Choir will be officially representing India in The World Choir Council for the period 2012 to 2016 as a new member from India. He will become the first Indian native representing the Council so far. Neil Nongkynreh is the genius and the guiding father behind the success of Shillong Chamber Choir.

Started off in 2001  from a humble beginning in Shillong, Meghalaya amidst the beautiful ambience of pine trees and breezing winds, the Shillong Chamber Choir has set a new trend in the musical genre of Choral music in the country. With its awesome musical presentations, the Shillong Chamber Choir today has millions of fans in the country. The choir group is known for its creative blending of choral music with various popular musical genres.

The World Choir Council is the highest international advisory board of global choral players called INTERKULTUR that strives to bring global platform for oneness and togetherness through peaceful competitions and song. Way to go, Shillong Chamber Choir!
