Naga film-maker Rebecca Changkija’s film The Dark Secrets of Tonhi is a is an eye opener focused on the  practice of black magic in rural India and the mindless killing of women in the name of witchcraft and sorcery. The film, based on real life incidents, is set in a small village in Chhattisgarh where poverty is rampant and women apparently practice black magic. The film takes a realistic approach to highlight the killings of innocent women in these rural areas based on vague allegations of witchcraft practice.
