Sikkim, yet again, is all set to boost the tourism potential of the state with the next round of tourism activity; the ‘Sikkim Winter Carnival 2013′. Sikkim Winter Carnival 2013 will take place from 22nd December to 24th December across the state.

Three major venues of the Sikkim Winter Carnival 2013 with specialized attractions will be Kanchendzonga Shopping Complex, Titanic Park, and Ridge Park (White Hall Garden).

Sikkim Winter Carnival has been specially organized by the Sikkim Tourism and Civil Aviation Department, Incredible India GoI and Tourism Stakeholders of the state and hospitality firm partners.

The main attraction of the Sikkim Winter Carnival 2013 will be a cultural program with a parade at MG Marg presented by the rich and diversified ethnic community of the state in their traditional attire. There will also be a Fashion Show at MG Marg.

Sikkim Winter Carnival 2013 will also present a specially planned food festival where the state’s multi-cuisine / ethnic foods of different communities at the Kanchendzonga Shopping Complex. Some of the adventure tourism / sports activities during Sikkim Winter Carnival are paragliding from Ani Gumpa, mountain biking , traversing at Bakthang Falls, rock climbing at Sellep Tanki etc.

A photo exhibition will also held during Sikkim Winter Carnival as an idealistic attraction at Star Cinema Hall, Gangtok. Exhibition cum Sale of locally manufactured items especially handicrafts will be exhibited at Kanchendzonga Shopping complex stall. Horticulture and floriculture produces will also be presented in the same stall at Kanchenjunga Shopping Complex. Giving a thrust to the organic tea produced from the garden of Temi Hill, various flavors of the Temi Tea will be exhibited and put on sale. Another interesting aspect of the Sikkim Winter Carnival 2013 is the butter sculpture display which will be staged at Star Cinema Hall.
