Brace up music fans and aficionados; the Ziro Festival of Music is going to get bigger and better this year. What could be deemed as one of the biggest and most exciting music event of the country with comparison to the likes of the Coachella, the Ziro Festival of Music is all set to rock harder in 2014 for 4 days in September. The event is slated for Sep 25-28 with a fun and music packed encore of musicians from all over the country.

Ziro Festival of Music has grown tremendously over the past 2 years and is already at a momentum to grow bigger. The fantastic musical extravaganza is sponsored by Arunachal Government with an aim to boost tourism and local music in the beautiful state.

Ziro is a picturesque valley located about 167kms from Itanagar. And being the home of the Apatani tribes, Ziro is the perfect place to get a taste of the quaint Apatani culture and traditions.  Now you can get it all when you hit the place for the Ziro Festival of Music.

Ziro Festival of Music 2013 was headlined by Sonic Youth’s Lee Ranaldo and Steve Shelley. It will be exciting to see who will grace the event this year. Bottomline, it’s a must attend music festival and as Lee Ranaldo says

“Nothing up there was like anything we thought India would be, it was amazing. We’ve played festivals all around the world and there’s not been one like what Ziro was.”
